The path is 2 metres wide at the Kingscote Cottage end and incroaching vegetation narrows the path to 40cm at the Kingscote Driveway end, where the entrance to the path is barely visible. Surface is compacted mud and leaf litter with many exposed tree roots and fallen trees across the path. The cross fall ranges from 4% to 9%.
