From Path 12 the path begins about 2m wide with a compacted mud surface and quickly narrows to 1m, and reduced to 70cm in places. Path is uneven in places with gradients upto 15% and cross falls about 6%. Some exposed tree roots cause obstructions, leaf litter, sticks and fallen trees. Path is width reduces to 50cm with fallen trees and steep dips and humps towards the path 49 end.
