Challenging for wheelchairs
The road is about 4 metres wide, apart from the entrance to the estate, which is wider. The surface is a good condition and reasonably flat, tarmac surface. Gradients do not exceed 10% and for most of the road cross falls vary up to 5%. There are unavoidable speed bumps, not exceeding 2cm, made from think paint. The road is generally quiet, though vehicles should always be expected. There is good visibility for most of the road, apart from the sharp bend. Vehicle speed is restricted to 20mph. The road is too narrow to allow vehicles to pass wheelchairs and pedestrians with a 2-metre clearance (i.e. the road is less than 5.5 metres wide). There are passing places every 60 to 70 metres near Drive Shaw, but no passing places for about 400 metres in both directions from here. There is a usable verge which is at least 5.5 metres in places, though to access the verges in many places involves a small drop from the road surface to the grass. The verges are in a mixed condition.
This Access road is approximately 1030 metres long with a Tarmac surface
The narrowest point: 400 cm wideSteepest gradient: 10% (1:10)
